Ethos Recovery: Transitional Living for Men
Long-Term, Community-Focused Recovery in West Adams, Los Angeles
Welcome to Ethos Recovery Transitional Living, a private, community-based residence for men who are ready to step into a more autonomous stage of their recovery. Located in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, this 8-bedroom, 6-bathroom home offers a sober, peer-supported environment built around independence, personal responsibility, and long-term stability. It’s the natural next step for men transitioning out of a more structured sober living or mid-level program and into everyday independent living.
Who Is It For?
Ethos Recovery Transitional Living is designed for men who have built a solid foundation in recovery and are looking for a community-based living arrangement with peers who share that same commitment. This is the lowest-structure tier within the Ethos Recovery system — built for individuals who are ready for more autonomy while still valuing the accountability and connection that comes from living alongside others in recovery.
This residence is abstinence-based. Men with less than six months in recovery are welcome to apply, provided they are actively participating in a PHP or IOP program, or have recently completed a higher level of care appropriate to their needs. Depending on individual circumstances, additional case management or recovery mentoring may be required to support a successful transition. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis and can be discussed directly with our admissions team before move-in — so if you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, reach out and we’ll walk through it together.

Key Features of Ethos Recovery Transitional Living
– Prime Location in West Adams, Los Angeles — A quiet, residential neighborhood with easy access to job opportunities, public transit, and community resources across LA.
– All Private Rooms — Every resident has their own private bedroom. This isn’t a shared-room, dormitory-style setup — it’s apartment-style transitional living with real privacy and space to call your own.
– Genuine Autonomy — Residents manage their own schedules, routines, and daily lives. Structure here is light-touch by design, built for men who’ve already done the harder work of establishing recovery habits elsewhere.
– Built-In Community — A mandatory weekly house dinner brings residents together once a week to stay connected, share a meal, and maintain the peer accountability that makes long-term recovery sustainable. Outside of that, your time is your own.
– Spacious Accommodations — 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, comfortable common areas. Please note that food is not provided at this location.
Why Choose Ethos Recovery Transitional Living?
Community is one of the most consistent predictors of sustained recovery, and that’s the foundation this program is built on. Transitional Living gives men who’ve already demonstrated real commitment to their recovery a place to keep growing — without the heavy structure of earlier-stage programs, but without losing the peer support that got them here in the first place.
This is sober living for men who want to live like adults again: paying rent, holding down work or school, managing their own time, and building a life — while still surrounded by people who understand exactly what that takes. It’s an ideal fit for men seeking long-term sober housing in Los Angeles who are past the acute stages of recovery and focused on reintegration, independence, and staying connected to a recovery-minded community.
